A lot of good information to start coaching girls at a young age (less than 10). As a youth softball coach, I am definitely plagerizing a lot from this one.
Coached other sports for 5+ years. First year coaching softball and at the 8U level. This book was great in providing drills that progressed skills. Also, keeping pitching to the basic fundamentals has been great for the players. They have been pretty successful in getting the ball over the plate with good consistency. Highly recommend this guide.
I should have saved my money and just Googled info. Nicely written, but not that informative.
I’m a softball coach can I use this book to help me better my coaching one thing I did learn from this book is that there’s no gaps in between what you say and what you do and just remember you are a leader and your players look up to you
I am a first time coach for a u10 softball team and this book is teaching me so much! It's one thing to play the game, another thing to coach it. I'm finding such useful, step by step information that it's reassuring me that I can do this and make a fun and enjoyable learning experience for the girls. Everything you need to know is right here. I highly recommend this book!
My daughter just started playing softball and my husband decided to be her coach. He really enjoyed the book and felt it helped him focus on age-appropriate drills and was a good guide on how to keep them engaged. He had not coached youth-aged children in a while and this was a great refresher.
I really found some good use from this book as a coach for young 6 and 7 year olds. Nothing earth shattering but it was simplistic enough and easily applied to my practices. The book contained many useful drills and really helped me out with putting together practice plans and ideas. I highly recommend this book for the new coach who is starting out with young players. Great practice tool. A+.
Good product, easy to read and easy to follow...has good techniques I will be using with my players. Definitely recommend, even to players who aren't coaching just playing, reading this material will definitely strengthen your game.
