I have studied and taught the bible for many, many years and have taught several Lenten Studies. But, this Lenten Study from Adam Hamilton is the best I've ever read or taught. His lessons are so beyond the typical and cause you to take stock of where you are in your failings of your own Christian walk. It makes you take the place of a member of the Sanhedrin, a member of the crowd yelling to crucify Jesus, a member (like Peter) of those that deny Jesus, a member of society (like Pontius Pilate) that wash our hands of Jesus, and (like Barabbas) a person whose life has been spared by the sacrifice of Jesus of Nazareth. The author pushes you to think how YOU might have responded that night nearly 2,000 years ago, and to address your own life accordingly. In fact, it has made me address several areas of my own life. And, who learns more than than the teacher?

The DVD didn't work

24 Hours That Changed the World is a meaningful and well written book.

This was a very powerful book. I liked the discussion notes that Mr. Hamilton included after each chapter. It is a deeply moving account of the last day of Jesus' life. It should be read by every Christian.
