Keenan Got Lucy
This is not a story about a comedian and a rockabilly chic. This is a child's name. The names in this article are from New Zealand. We criticized Gweneth and Chris for Apple? This makes Demi and Bruce's "Rumer" seem like Melissa or Jennifer... [ READ STORY ]

Words
Okay so! I have been thinking about words I want to start using because I am tired of the same old words. I have been learning new words in school and this has impressed upon me the need for new words or the rebirth of old words. Don't worry they aren't all businessy like all of those terms for corporate culture, negotiation strategies, or organizational methods. These words are fun. Now that you know this is a safe list to read, please incorporate the following into your daily interactions.
Badical - This needs to replace the current Wicked Awesome (Boston wants their phrase back)
Nimrod - Because sometimes people are and it turns you from frustrated to silly.
Gobbldygook - It instantly discredits something. Use only when absolutely necessary.
Totally Major - This is a big deal. Everything about this is good.
Good Gravy! - This lightens the mood in an annoying situation and everyone likes gravy.
More to follow.....

Come on... Let's be on Facebook!
Thank you for your "special invitations" and your concern that I am not on Facebook. Other than my career and other various non-computer related activities, I have some other reasons for not wanting to have a presence on Facebook. This hilarious video successfully defines while causing me (and you) uproarious laughter, why I am not on Facebook. Enjoy.

Ask me something!
Today, all of your questions are answered at once. While most of the people who ask me for advice on how to use products or what to buy for this or that probably do not read my blog, I am still going to answer some of the most commonly asked questions because it has become obvious to me... people want to know. It is my pleasure to tell you and welcome your tips.
These are not listed in any particular order.
1. Mascara? Great Lash. With mascara, cheaper actually is better.
2. Eye shadow. Cheaper is not better. Go MAC.
3. Wardrobe? Get your colors done and be fabulous whether you wear a size 2 or a size 16. Do not be afraid to buy few expensive pieces rather than a bunch of cheap garments that are going to "bag out" on you. There are some cheap treasures out there but to make the most of your time, stick to small stores and .... get your colors done!
4. I want to feel special and pampered. What do you do? get mani / pedi from a quality nail salon. Get those feet dipped in hot wax. Ahhhh.
5. Highlights / Streaks. Only if you have loads of money to spend on your hair. Frequently. Oh and loads of time.
6. Why a townhouse? Low maintenance. There is also a chic lifestyle feel to a townhouse that I am drawn to. It fits my Modern Organic style diagnosis.
7. Decor. Take the style quiz at HGTV.com, get inspired and hit the stores. I recommend; West Elm, Z Gallerie, Crate and Barrel, and Herman Miller. Once you have a good handle on your style with some cohesiveness, go to Target and Good Will for some finishing touches. I have made some decorating mistakes (I am working up a plan to fix one now). Those are still going to happen. Just don't make them because you are being cheap. You will end up spending much more to fix them up.
8. Bras? Nordstrom. French. Its worth it. From A to J. They've got it all.
Anything else?

Modern Organic
Have you ever wondered what your style type is? I guess I have known for quite some time that I am a Modern Organic but I guess it never had that label attached. Every time I search for furniture, flooring, or home accents I am drawn to bold stark florals, natural materials, and clean lines. Take the quiz on HGTV's website and define your style. If you don't understand my serious addiction to HGTV... Trust me, you'll get there too.
Sorry abut the spotty blogging. I have been swamped between school and establishing my career in business management. I have been recruiting, auditing, presenting, and performing overall business analysis and administration. I am so excited about these changes and I am doing something I truly enjoy for a great company. It is more than just a job for me.
I start very soon with the University of Pennsylvania. Now I will be finishing my schooling online instead of 8-9 hours of classes every Saturday with a commute to campus. Believe me, I love being in the group setting and I so enjoy our classroom debates. Oh that reminds me. I had the opportunity to be a part of a debate team and I ended up speaking for my team. I was pitted against the speaker from the opposite team. He was an attorney. I thought no way. I can't debate the validity and effectiveness of the performance review and forced distribution systems against an attorney! But I debated and our team swayed opinions! Things like that make the classroom setting rewarding but for purposes of time and absence of group assignments, I look forward to starting my online classes.
Would anyone else like to share their experiences with online courses?

Shopping Wasn't Easy
Finding furniture is tough.
This weekend, I went to a consignment store looking for a set of accent chairs for the living room. Instead I found a wood framed settee. It was lovely and a former model home piece. But it was too small for the living room. Current prices for accent chairs also make this challenging. I wonder when furniture stores are going to finally lower their prices. $1400 for a very basic set of accent chairs is not a good price!
I also went bra shopping. Granted, I have shop at Nordstrom to find my size. I finally got fitted for the proper bra size that does not cause spillage. These are $70-$75 each and forget the $45 matching panties. My goodness. So I paid for them. I am happy I finally found a bra that fits but I am still amazed at the price. Yikes. I can't seem to take them out of the bag because of the price.
I guess I would rather just have my new floor. Bye bye peepee carpet!
